Since 2001, Au Coeur des Arts has plunged everyone into the universe of the arts in a most inviting atmosphere, showcasing Charlevoix’s creative expression and  friendly joie  de vivre. Fifty artists, water-colourists, sculptors and artisans work outdoors, under the marquee, in a landscape that has inspired the finest among them for generations. Free demonstrations & workshops held Saturday & Sunday under the small white marquee. Throughout the event, tickets are available for Sunday’s raffle. To be won are pieces by symposium artists in attendance - and so much more!  Proceeds from sales go to the region’s community organizations. For this 5th edition, weoffer a varied program of activities infused with the flavour of italy: food, vino, shows, street entertainement, visual arts, cars, design and fashion. A summer of song…ending with La ChantEauFête de Charlevoix, held in Saint-Siméon from August 9 – 14, 2010. In July and August, the festival is preceded by the Chant’Escales Series with scheduled stopovers in the municipalities of Saint-Siméon and La Malbaie, spreading French-Canadian pop in all its diversity.

The Baie-Saint-Paul International Symposium of Contemporary Art is an annual contemporary art event that invites artists to spend a month working in front of an ever-growing public. The Symposium is the only professional event of its kind where the public is invited to meet the artists. It has become a prestigious reference in the milieu. Baie-Saint-Paul continues to help spread the names of newcomers who have penetrated the Québec, Canadian and international art scenes. Open Tuesday - Sunday, 12pm – 5pm.

The festival’s diverse program includes concerts, dance productions, jazz, musical brunches, masters’ courses and student concerts. An invitation to travel through a variety of styles and periods, with artists of international renown.

Genuine concert-events! Le Chœur polyphonique de Charlevoix is a non-profit organization which has as a mission the promotion, presentation and demystification of classic repertoires for choirs based on heightened standards of excellence. It assembles choir singers from the Greater Charlevoix Region into two distinct groups: Le Chœur polyphonique, an adult choir, and La Maîtrise de Charlevoix, a youth and adolescent choir. Over the course of the year, several concerts accompanied by reputed musician ensembles are presented to the public. For instance, in Summer 2009 Le Chœur polyphonique sang Cirque du Soleil compositions with L’Orchestre symphonique de Québec. Back in 1980, Le Temps d’une paix took over the small screen and forever immortalized itself in Québec’s collective memory. Written by Pierre Gauvreau, the mini-series depicts Québec’s advance towards modernity between the two World Wars. Remembered are Rose-Anna, Joseph-Arthur, Mémère Bouchard, Ti-coune and the others, as well as their lives which are not always peaceful in the lovely Charlevoix region. Thirty years later, Le Musée de Charlevoix is showcasing behind-the-scenes sets, characters and storylines from the mini-series.

Since the opening of its Salle Françoys-Bernier in 1996 and the inauguration of Pavillon Joseph-Rouleau in 2008, La Saison du Domaine has presented events featuring song, world music and youth-oriented performances.
