Genuine concert-events! Le Chœur polyphonique de Charlevoix is a non-profit organization which has as a mission the promotion, presentation and demystification of classic repertoires for choirs based on heightened standards of excellence. It assembles choir singers from the Greater Charlevoix Region into two distinct groups: Le Chœur polyphonique, an adult choir, and La Maîtrise de Charlevoix, a youth and adolescent choir. Over the course of the year, several concerts accompanied by reputed musician ensembles are presented to the public. Le Temps d'une paix - exhibit   2010-06-13  to  2011-05-15

 

Back in 1980, Le Temps d’une paix took over the small screen and forever immortalized itself in Québec’s collective memory. Written by Pierre Gauvreau, the mini-series depicts Québec’s advance towards modernity between the two World Wars. Remembered are Rose-Anna, Joseph-Arthur, Mémère Bouchard, Ti-coune and the others, as well as their lives which are not always peaceful in the lovely Charlevoix region. Thirty years later, Le Musée de Charlevoix is showcasing behind-the-scenes sets, characters and storylines from the mini-series.
